In addition to the treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses, Medcor On-Site can provide many occupational health needs.

Medical Surveillance
Medcor can perform the most necessary medical surveillance testing and exams for employees, including drug testing, audiometric (hearing conservation), spirometry (pulmonary function testing), respirator fit testing, other OSHA required health monitoring, and new hire/pre-placement exams.

Safety and Training
Medcor supports employers’ safety programs by generating injury trend reports to identify safety problems for corrective and preventative actions. Medcor assists in reviewing policies for regulatory compliance and adequacy. Medcor also supports and participates in employer training initiatives, whether that is CPR, first aid, AED, blood borne pathogens, or any other health subject.

Wellness
Medcor offers a broad range of wellness, health education, and prevention programs. Wellness programs can be easily applied in the workplace and include PowerPoint presentations, posters, newsletter articles, and more. They include topics from addictions to allergies, cancer to diabetes, disaster preparedness to heat exhaustion, and men’s and women’s health.

Disability and FMLA
Since most disability and FMLA management programs are employer-specific, Medcor works
with employers to deliver these services in accordance with internal management policies and procedures, and Medcor works with employers to modify programs and documentation to stay
current with ongoing needs.

Case Management
Medcor monitors all cases sent to outside providers to: 1) ensure that employees keep appointments and follow prescribed treatment regimens; 2) acquaint outside providers with firsthand information about job requirements; 3) update outside providers on recent assessments of injured employees;
4) review treatment; and 5) return employees to work as soon as appropriate.
