Katrina and Rita
Medcor treated more than four thousand employees of large corporations engaged in Katrina and Rita clean-up efforts in Louisiana, Texas,
and Mississippi, freeing overloaded emergency medical systems to treat the general public. Medcor sent six teams, consisting of paramedics,
nurses, and mid-level providers to affected areas. The first of these teams deployed as soon as Katrina made landfall and were in place even before
the levees in New Orleans failed.
